Dividend paycheck

Mix stocks with different payment months, and it works like a monthly paycheck

US quarterly dividend stocks are split into payment-month groups: Jan/Apr/Jul/Oct, Feb/May/Aug/Nov and Mar/Jun/Sep/Dec. By mixing the three groups or using monthly dividend ETFs, you can create cash flow every month.

  1. Pick holdings

Choose from representative Korean and global dividend stocks and monthly dividend ETFs, and enter the amount for each.

  2. Monthly calendar

Builds a 12-month after-tax dividend calendar based on the months when money actually arrives.

  3. Work backwards from a goal

Enter a target monthly dividend and it calculates the total investment needed at current yields.

Korean dividends are subject to 15.4% withholding and US dividends to 15% withholding locally. Dividend amounts are based on the most recent annual dividend per share and may change in the future. Payment months are based on when the money is credited to a Korean account.

FAQ

How are the ex-dividend date and payment date different?

You must hold the stock before the ex-dividend date to be entitled to the dividend, and the money usually arrives on the payment date a few weeks to a few months later. This planner shows payment months. Check ex-dividend dates in the Ex-dividend Dates calendar.

What if annual dividends exceed KRW 20 million?

If financial income from interest and dividends combined exceeds KRW 20 million a year, it becomes subject to comprehensive taxation of financial income and may also affect your health insurance premiums. Check with the Comprehensive Financial Income Tax & Health Insurance Checker.

How is the exchange rate reflected?

US stocks are converted to won at the exchange rate you enter. The default is the USD/KRW rate at the most recent market close.
